  • Direct Debit fees to the customer are $3 for weekly or $5for fortnightly.

       Steps This is how it works.

  • Let the sales consultant know you want to use Jam Plus for your purchase.
  • There is a maximum single purchase price limit for each retailer. The sales assistant will advise what this limit is.
  • Present your ID card followed by your MasterCard or Visa, debit or credit card
  • We also require your email address, mobile and home or work numbers so we can communicate with you.
  • We will need to run a quick credit check at this point if this is your first Jam Plus plan, if you’ve requested a higher limit than previously held or if you are returning after not using Jam Plus for some time.
  • The credit check will be for the value of your intended purchase with payment means by Jam Plus. The system lets you know immediately if your application has been approved.
  • Once approved you can choose your payment plan – its duration, frequency of payments and start date. These options can vary from retailer to retailer. Just check our website or enquire in store.
  • You’ll be advised at the point of sale of the deposit required inclusive of the establishment fee, processing fee and redraw fee if applicable.
  • If you have a redraw facility the Jam payment system will recommend which product, Jam Express or Jam Plus, is the best option for you based on which requires you to pay the least amount today. Ultimately the choice is yours.
  • Then simply authorise your Jam Plus Plan by paying the deposit using your nominated MasterCard or Visa.
  • The same cardwill be used for future instalments unless you contact Jam Payments directly to nominate another means.
  • Your payment schedule will be emailed to you within the hour.


  • The customer pays a once off establishment fee of $45.
  • Processing fee per payment when deposit and repayment are charged to your nominated card $3 per weekly repayment $5 per fortnightly repayment
  • Redraw fee If you draw down available credit for a second or subsequent purchase under your Jam Plus credit contract there is a redraw fee. The amount varies from retailer to retailer so take a look at our website for details.
  • Plan restructure fee per payment each time you request to change date on your payment plan $6
  • Note: for a Jam Plus credit contract, the aggregate of the above fees (excluding the last fees below) is capped as follows:
  • In the first 12 months after commencement of this credit contract $200
  • In each subsequent 12 month period of $125
  • Penalty fees only applicable if repayments are not paid when due
  • Late payment fee each time you fail to make a repayment by its due date or each time a cheque or money order is dishonoured $4 per payment and the amount of the Payment Processing Fee which would have applied if the repayment had been made on time
